I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care Clarke House provided to my father during his final weeks. As he battled terminal cancer, Clarke House supported my sister and me through this difficult time with compassion, professionalism, and warmth. We arranged four appointments (two carers per visit) and two night shifts, and the quality of care was truly beyond any expectations.
Having worked in domiciliary services during COVID, I can confidently say I know what good care and communication look like, and Clarke House epitomised both. The leadership of Danielle, the owner, clearly shines through in her staff, many of whom are between 21 and 24 years old. Their maturity, sensitivity, and consistent kindness were humbling, and their ability to bring smiles to my father’s face during some challenging moments was something we will always remember.
A special mention must go to Felicia, the night carer, who was a calm and caring presence during his final night. While my father could no longer speak in his last hours, Felicia had spent earlier nights chatting with him when he was still able to, offering comfort and companionship. Her warmth and wisdom during this sorrowful time were invaluable, and we are forever grateful to her, as well as to all the staff at Clarke House.
Thank you to everyone at Clarke House for being there when we needed you most.
